Friday Morning Prayer
A small group of faithful believers meets every Friday morning without exception in the sanctuary for fifteen minutes of devotional thoughts, meditation on scripture, and intercessory prayer, including silence.
Why not put us on the refrigerator calendar and come by. It’s quite informal, but the connection with God is solid! You will be blessed.

Second Sunday Concert Series Coming in 2009!
Beginning this spring, our Second Sunday Concerts will be offered each month at MUMC! These afternoon/evening performances in our sanctuary will be free to the public and will surely be a great venue for hearing some great music! A tentative list of guest artists include organist Gloria Cardoni-Smith (Norma and Les Gadbury’s daughter), High Cotton (bluegrass/gospel), Charles Lynch (harpist), and others! Sponsorships are available and appreciated for these events and will help financially support this new musical offering!
Perhaps you would like to sponsor a concert in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone special.
Contact Kathy Brown at 762-2579 or by email at kbrown@monticelloumc.com for more information!
A directory of church members and friends will soon be available in print, including names, addresses, and phone numbers.
Persons who have included their email address in the church’s group distribution list received the directory as a Word document. It may be kept on your computer and you may print your own copy. If you wish to give us your email address we will send it to you to save printing costs. It is twenty-four pages long.
If you wish to have a printed copy, tell the church office staff. We will print a few at a time and be sure a copy is available for you.
SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGERS NEEDED FOR: November 29 December 6, 13, 20
Please call the church office (762-2579) ASAP if you would be willing to ring a bell for one or two hours. We will then contact you to schedule a time that will be convenient for you. We just need commitments now! Other churches will also provide people to ring bells.
Special Note! Due to the economy this Christmas Season the demand for Salvation Army funds are anticipated to be much greater…Please help to make this a very successful Bell Ringing fundraiser. And as always all of your donations remain available to Piatt County for use throughout the year.
